Urban Sketchers London — Preliminary 2027 Programme

We have a preliminary sketchwalk programme for 2027. We’re excited to share the dates and locations we’re currently working with — but please remember that this is a preliminary programme. Dates and locations may change as we continue planning and confirming the details.

The preliminary calendar gives you a quick overview, but keep an eye on our website and social media for confirmed dates and further information. We publish the detailed information approximately a month before the skechwalk here, on the Facebook USkL Group Page, and on Instagram.

We need volunteers!

A programme this size doesn’t happen without our members.

We’re looking for people who would like to co-lead one or more of the 2027 sketchwalks.

Perhaps you know one of these areas particularly well. Perhaps there’s a location you’ve always wanted to explore and sketch with the group. Or perhaps you have a friend who would enjoy doing it with you. You don’t have to do it alone. You can volunteer with a buddy, or we can pair you with another member.

What does co-leading involve?

There is some preparation, but you’ll be supported by the admin team throughout.

2–3 months before the sketchwalk:

  • Scout the area and identify a suitable meeting point (and take a photo for our ‘Meet Here‘ card)
  • Find a good location for the throwdown
  • Take a few more photos (ideally 6) to highlight interesting things for people to sketch
  • Help prepare the blog post and practical information, especially nearest toilets
  • ‘Admin support’ will do the website build and the social media ‘Meet Here‘ card – from the information you provide

On the day:

  • Welcome everyone
  • Help the group get started
  • Stay at the meeting point for a short time to guide latecomers
  • Organise the throwdown
  • Help things run smoothly

You don’t need previous experience of leading a sketchwalk. We’ll explain the process, share what has worked before and support you along the way. Here is more detailed information on what’s involved in leading a sketchwalk.

Could you help?

Have a look through the preliminary programme and see if there’s a date and location that appeals to you. If you know the area, please get in touch – email us or speak to one of the admins at a sketchwalk.

We’d love to hear from you — and we’d especially love to have some new faces helping us shape and lead the 2027 programme.
