Sunday 31st May 2026 | 12:00 – 17:00
Led by Zane Karklina
To round off May, we’re stepping slightly outside our usual programme – we are invited to sketch at the HÖME-GROWN vintage car meet in Southall, with a curated line-up of 1970s–80s classic cars.

No booking is required unless you’re bringing a vehicle yourself. Entry is free.
This community-led event brings together well-kept and lovingly restored vehicles, with owners often on hand. It’s a relaxed setting, with cars displayed in an open yard rather than a formal show layout – good for getting closer views and spending time with details.

What to Sketch
- A line-up of 1970s–80s classic cars, many owner-maintained and presented with care – expect distinctive profiles, period details and well-kept paintwork. Owners are often nearby and usually happy to chat if you’re interested in the story behind the vehicle.
- Parkside Yards courtyard – a mix of open space, seating, café and gastro pub activity, with people moving through the site.
- The Green Quarter setting – contemporary apartment blocks arranged around landscaped public space, with a stream running through the development.
- Tree nursery – rows of 600 young trees, offering structure, repetition and contrast to the built environment.
- Padel courts – enclosed, geometric spaces with players in motion.
- A 10-15 minute walk takes you to Southall Broadway, with a much busier high street if you’re after a change of pace later in the day.
