Bazalgette Embankment

In May, we celebrate the opening of London’s newest feature, the Bazalgette Embankment, a new 1.5-acre public park and riverside space on the north bank of the Thames near Blackfriars Bridge, opened in January 2026. Built as part of the Tideway Super Sewer project, this London Centric spot offers landscaped areas, walkways, and artwork, named after the Victorian engineer Sir Joseph Bazalgette

St Mary Le Strand Church

In June, we head over to the Strand to relax in the pedestrian area outside Somerset House. This area is part of the Strand Aldwych redevelopment, opened in December 2022 that transformed a heavily trafficked road into a, green, car-free space. The area features new landscaping, seating, and trees, linking Somerset House with King’s College London and St Mary Le Strand Church.

Friday 10 July 2026 – 6pm-8pm

Horseshoe Bend Kiosk

In July, we don our tourist hats and visit the iconic London Royal residency, Buckingham Palace. Capture the majesty of the palace exterior or explore St. James’s Park or Green Park for a more landscape focused addition to your sketchbook. From here you can view Horse Guards Parade, view the London Eye from the Blue Bridge, or capture the diverse wildlife – the Geese in particular are used to modelling

Friday 21 August 2026 – 6pm-8pm

Soho Square Gardens

For our final Summer Late of 2026, in August we head over to Soho to visit Soho Square Gardens. Serving as a tranquil retreat from the nearby Oxford Street and nightlight of Soho. The square features a mock Tudor hut, lush landscaping and surrounded by elegant buildings, as well as the nearby pubs and restaurants.
