Submission of Artwork

Calling all urban sketchers – it’s time to submit your works of art!

The London by Urban Sketchers Exhibition 2025 is now open for submissions!

Following the success of our 2022 exhibition, we are thrilled to return to the stunning Art Pavilion at Mile End Park—a spacious, light-filled gallery which will perfectly complements our vibrant and diverse collection of artwroks. This year’s exhibition has been made possible by the gracious support from Urban Sketchers through USk Regional Event Grant, supporting activities that bring our global sketching community together.

From the 22nd to 30th March 2025, the exhibition will celebrate London through the eyes of urban sketchers—featuring original drawings and high-quality giclée prints, live sketching events, and opportunities to connect with fellow artists. With capacity for several hundred artworks to be displayed, this is your chance to share your vision of the city and be part of something truly special!

Who can submit?

Any urban sketcher who has sketched on location in London can submit their artwork to the exhibition. They do not need to be based/living in London.

What can you submit?

The artwork MUST adhere to the Urban Sketchers manifesto and in addition, London Urban Sketchers Chapter guidelines, i.e. sketched on location in London, within the M25. You can find more details of what constitutes an “urban sketch” here. Up to 4 pieces of artwork can be submitted, and they can be original works of art or high quality giclee prints made on artist quality paper. Once accepted, artwork must be delivered to the gallery, mounted, framed and ready to hang.

You can sell your artwork should you choose to do so.

How to submit?

  1. Read and understand the acceptance criteria – is it an urban sketch, and does your art work adhere to the Urban Sketchers manifesto and Urban Sketchers London chapter criteria?
  2. Select up to 4 pieces of work.
  3. Complete the submission form (link in red below), and submit clearly labelled (with YourNAME_artworkNUMBER) high resolution image files with details of the title, medium used, original/print, and price for each artwork.
  4. Complete your submission by the end of Monday 24th February 2025.

Why exhibit?

This open exhibition is a celebration of our diverse and talented urban sketching community. This is your opportunity to showcase your work in a stunning gallery space in Mile End, to share your unique perspective of this beautiful city, and become a part of an inspiring community of urban sketchers.
