Saturday 15 February 2025 – 11:00 – 15:30
Hosted by Dean Ashton
In February, we embrace the glass and stone of Cannon Street, at the heart of the modern financial district. Named from the shortened term for Candlemakers, Cannon Street runs (in parts) parallel to the Thames from St Paul’s Churchyard, past Mansion House Station, Cannon Street Station, King William Street and up to Monument Station.
Hidden Gems: Discover two of the churches (which some historians debate) featured in the Nursery Rhyme, Oranges and Lemons: St Clements of Eastcheap and St Martin Orgar.
Key times and meeting points for the day:
11 am: We will meet under the covered walkway outside of Cannon Street Station, in front of M&S Food.
