Exhibition 2025

Saturday 22 – Sunday 30 March 2025

11 AM – 6 PM daily (closing at 3 PM on 30 March)

The Art Pavilion, Mile End Park, Clinton Road, London, E3 4QY

The Urban Sketchers London Open Exhibition 2025 is a vibrant celebration of London, captured through the eyes of artists who sketch on location. Hosted in the beautiful Art Pavilion, Mile End, the exhibition will feature more than 400 works—from quick street sketches to more detailed studies—created by local and visiting urban sketchers.

The exhibition has been made possible by the gracious support from Urban Sketchers through USk Regional Event Grant, supporting activities that bring our global sketching community together.

Most artworks will be available for sale, alongside completed sketchbooks offering a glimpse into the creative process. Copies of our book, London by Urban Sketchers, as well as other individually authored books, will also be on display and available to purchase.

But the exhibition is more than just a display of artwork—it’s an interactive event where visitors can experience urban sketching firsthand. Throughout the week, we’ll host live demonstrations, group sketch walks, and community drawing activities, welcoming visitors of all ages to pick up a pencil and join in.

Urban Sketchers Regional Events Grant 2024

We are grateful to Urban Sketchers for selecting USk London Chapter as one of the 5 recepients of the 2024/2025 grant, which has enabled us to revisit the beautiful Art Pavillion as our exhibition venue in 2025.

The objectives of the Regional Events Grant Program are to support USk Chapters to host bigger events than their regular sketch walks;  build a stronger regional sketching community, empower Chapters to organise and create new types of events and activities, find ways to use urban sketching to reach out to communities beyond USk and, finally, create a more accessible, sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative for those who cannot attend the USk Symposia.  This allows sketchers from nearby communities who are not part of a chapter to sketch together with the USk community at large.

Deep Deep Light creates watercolors that feel wild, alive, and full of spirit—designed to be loved, used, and a joyful addition to any artist’s palette. Their signature granulating and separating pigments have a mind of their own, bringing an element of magic to every brushstroke. Handcrafted with care in their cozy “tiny factory” in the Latvian countryside, each color is infused with authenticity and love, made by artists who understand the joy of painting and want to share it with the world.

SM∙LT Art is an independent and socially responsible brand from Lithuania, dedicated to creating high-quality sketchbooks designed with artists in mind. Though they come from a small country, their sketchbooks have found their way into the hands of artists across the world—from Japan to the UK, across Europe, Canada, Chile, and beyond. Each SM∙LT Art sketchbook is crafted with warmth and care, reflecting a deep passion for creativity and a genuine love for the artists who bring its pages to life.
